Mrs. Jared died yesterday at the Cookeville General Hospital following an extended illness. She was a resident of Silver Point, Rt. 1. The services will be held at New Home Baptist Church of which she is a member, and burial will be in Smellage Cemetery.
Officiating will be Rev. Robert S. Martin, Rev. Fred Hawkins, Rev. James T. Hooten, and Rev. Archie Whitefield.
Mrs. Jared was a native of Putnam Co., daughter of Johnny & Mary Cameron Whitehead.
Survivors are 4 sons: Bethel Jared, Silver Point, Rt. 1; Julius Jared, Baxter, Rt. 1; Johnny Jared, Detroit, MI; Sam Jared, Silver Point, Rt. 1; a sister, Mrs. Ova Moran, Baxter, Rt. 1; 2 brothers, Fred Whitehead, Silver Point, Rt.1; Floyd Whitehead, Plant City, FL: 7 grandchildren; 9 great grandchildren; a daughter-in-law, Mrs. Solon Jared, Silver Point, Rt. 1.
