Eunice Leahy, age 75, died Saturday June 30, 2007 at Sheboygan Progressive Care Center where she had resided the last four years.
Eunice was born in Sheboygan on March 21, 1932, a daughter of the late Edwin and Alma (Anger) Schuette.
She was a 1950 graduate of Central High School in Sheboygan.
On January 20, 1951 Eunice married Jerome S. Leahy.
For over 20 years, Eunice was a Medical Assistant for Dr. Harold Heinz, later employed at Lakeshore Display over 10 years. Jerome preceded her in death on January 2, 1989. Eunice was a life member of St. John and St. Peter Evangelical Lutheran Church in Cleveland. She enjoyed sewing, dancing and weekend tours with family and friends. She loved and cherished her canine companions, Sandy and Pepper.
Surviving Eunice are her sons; two granddaughters; one brother; two sisters-in-law.
In addition to her husband and parents, Eunice was also preceded in death by two sisters, Helen Lindow and Elaine Bender and two brothers, Adrian and Kenneth Schuette.
A Funeral Service will be conducted for Eunice on Friday July 6, 2007 at 6:00 p.m. at Zimmer's Westview Funeral & Cremation Care Center, Garton Road. Reverend Thomas Fleischmann, County Chaplain will officiate. Interment will be in Calvary Cemetery in Sheboygan. Friends may call at Westview on Friday from 4 p.m. until the time of the service.
A memorial fund has been established in the name of Eunice Leahy for the Alzheimer's Foundation.
