Elizabeth Lucille Thomas Sexton age 88, of Norma Community, passed away on Tuesday, July 13, 2010 at her home with her wonderful family by her side. She was born February 4, 1922 in Rockwood, Tennessee to the late Samuel Rufus Thomas and Effie Jane Sitzlar Thomas. She was a member of the Morning Star Baptist Church. She loved to shop, cook for her family and enjoyed listening and singing gospel music. She was a loving mother, grandmother, great grandmother, great great grandmother, sister and friend. She was preceded in death by her husband: Leonis Sexton; parents: Samuel Rufus Thomas and Effie Jane Thomas; children: Arvin Sexton, Marvin Sexton and Marsha Ruth Sexton Jones; brother: Ernest Fate Thomas; sisters: Oma Cooper, Katherine Monroe, Gladys Moffitt, Edith Speck and Grace Babcock. She is survived by her children: Rexford Sexton and wife Barb of Dayton, Ohio, Delmer Sexton and wife Wilma of Oneida, Tennessee, Estil Sexton of Dayton, Ohio, Larry Sexton and wife Nancy of Huntsville, Tennessee, Dwaine Sexton of Knoxville, Tennessee, Roger Sexton and wife Carolyn, Delores Cook and husband Donald, Dennis Sexton all of Huntsville, Tennessee, Cathy Graham and husband Mike of Campbellsville, Kentucky; brothers: Gene Thomas and wife Zona, Kenneth Thomas and wife Pat all of Robbins, Tennessee; sisters: Marie Newport of Robbins, Tennessee, Wanda Bowling and husband David of Elgin, Tennessee; special grandsons: Jared Sexton and Kevin Sexton; 31 grandchildren: 77 great grandchildren; 26 great great grandchildren; several nieces, nephews and many other family and friends. The family will receive friends for visitation from 6:00 P.M. until 9:00 P.M., Thursday Evening, July 15, 2010 in the Chapel of Four Oaks Funeral Home in Huntsville. She will lie in state from 12:00 Noon until time of funeral services at 1:00 P.M., Friday afternoon, July 16, 2010 at the Norma Baptist Church with Bro. Larry Sexton, Bro. Charles Lawson and Bro. Kenneth Thomas Officiating. Music will be provided by the Antioch Gospel Singers and Allen Sexton. Burial will follow in the Norma Cemetery. Pallbearers will be Jared Sexton, Kevin Sexton, Paul Cook, Toby Marcum, Johnny Sexton and Chesty Strunk. Honorary Pallbearers will be Dwaine Lawson and Gary Crabtree;
