J. P. Allison, Octogenarian, Came to Oregon 20 Years Ago.
OREGON CITY, Or., April 3.- (Special.)- J. P. Allison, of Mountain View, died Saturday, aged 80. He was for years a resident of Sherwood, but had retired from active life and had lived for some time at his present home. He had been sick for a year.
Mr. Allison was born in Lawrence County, Illinois, March 4, 1881, and came to Oregon a score of years ago. He is survived by a wife and seven children, five boys and two girls. The children are: Mrs. Mary Singer, Twin Falls, Idaho; Mrs. Nettie Mayfield, Wamic, Or.; Samuel Allison, California; Gilbert, Nevada; Absalom and Reuben, and Robert, of Sherwood.
Funeral services will be held Wednesday, and burial will be at the Old Home Cemetery at Sherwood.
