Funeral services were scheduled today al 10 a.m. at St. Joseph the Worker Catholic Church in Galliano for Jackin Joseph Lafont, 65, a native and resident of Galliano, who died Friday.

Burial was in Cheramie Cemetery in Galliano.

He was the husband of Genevia Anselmi Lafont; father of Mrs. Willie (Gloria) Guidry and Jackin Lafont Jr., step father of Mrs. Andrew (Marian) Naquin, Forest and Buddy Matherne; and brother of Mrs. Joseph (Ophelia) Chouest, Edless, Constant and Irvin Lafont. He is also survived by three grandchildren, six step grandchildren, one great-grandchild and one step great-grandchild.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Mr. and Mrs. Loveless Lafont;
brother, Widless Lafont; and sister, Dovian Lafont.

Falgout Funeral Home, Galliano, is in charge of arrangements.
