Irvin J. Lafont, 82, a native of Cut Off and a resident of Port Arthur, Texas and formerly of Cut Off, died at 5:47 a.m. Monday, Aug. 30, 2010.
Visitation will be from 9 a.m. to funeral time today at Christian Fellowship Church. Service will be held at 11 a.m. today at the church, with burial in Cheramie Cemetery.
He is survived by two daughters, Lori Lafont and Lynnie Rodriguez; four grandchildren; and five great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his first wife, Audrey Calvier Lafont; second wife, Mary Mason Lafont; third wife, Cheryl Eiland Lafont; his parents, Loveless E. and Marie Eve Cheramie Lafont; four brothers, Jack Lafont, Widless Lafont, Constance Lafont and Edless "Gaya" Lafont; two sisters, Ophelia Chouest and Dovie Ann Lafont; and one granddaughter, Ashley Trahan Baughman.
Samart-Mothe Funeral Home of Cut Off is in charge of arrangements.
