In May 1917 Ava married Hobert Miller, but she soon left him and went back home, where she contracted TB from her brother.
Ava was 18 when she died of TB in 1918; Vada was 3. She was raised by her Jolliff grandparents. After her grandma Jolliff died in 1929, she and her grandpa Jolliff went to live with his son, Aaron. Then he died in 1930 and Vada, a young teenager, stayed with her uncle Aaron.
Nov 25, 1931, she married Laundy Beach when she was 16.

Mrs. Beach died at 9:53pm Sun in the methodist Medical Center, Peoria, IL. She was born Oct 4, 1915 in Rover.
She was married Nov. 21, 1931 at Cull (MO) to Laundy E. Beach, and she attended the East Peoria Church of the Nazarene.
Survivors include her husband, Laudy Beach; 4 daughters, Mrs. Milton (Jacque) Zuercher, Mrs. Jim (JoAnn) Warner, Mrs. Max (Joyce) Guymon, all of Pekin, IL; Mrs. Gene (Janice) Mulvaney, Kinmundy IL; 2 sons, Laundy Beach Jr, East Peoria IL; James Beach, Creve Coeur, IL; 18 grandchildren and 4 gr-grandchildren. 2 grandchildren preceded her in death.
