Jack Edward, age 38. In loving memory of our dearest son, brother and father, who was only on loan to us from God so that we might experience the gift of his unselfish love, his kindness and his contagious love of life. Jack gave the strongest support to his friends and his loved ones. His love for nature, the outdoors and for water was shown in his employment as for 18 years he was employed by Norman Brothers of St. Louis, Mo. as a river boat captain. Survivors include sons, Jeff E. Franklin and Jack E. Franklin, Jr. of Godfrey, Il.; his father, John E. Franklin, Ft. Lauderdale, Fla.; his mother, Verria L. Miles, sisters, Bonnie A. Gossett and Teresa D. Jones, all of OKC; and half brothers, Bobby Franklin of Kentucky and Butch Franklin, Virginia.
