Mary, wife of John Hunt, died in November 1860 in Simpson Co., Kentucky. Her body was returned to Allen Co., KY for burial beside her husband in the Harrell Cemetery on New Roe Road. It should be noted that Allen County and Simpson County, Kentucky are next to each other so that was not a long distance to transport the body for burial.

Many years ago vandals destroyed Mary's tombstone and that of her husband and several relatives in the Harrell Cemetery. In 1966 descendants Jewell & Mildred Eubank had a cenotaph stone placed there for Mary, her husband and the other relatives.
