Mrs. Wheeler Irvin Of Near Broughton Dies at Eldorado

Mrs. Roxie Irvin, 71, wife of Wheeler Irvin who resides four miles west of Broughton, died Tuesday at 12:15 p.m. in the Ferrell hospital.

Besides her husband she is survived by the following: Six children, Mrs. Milton Cain, Golconda, Mrs. Tommy English, McLeansboro, Claud Irvin at home, Eugene Irvin, Urbana, Max Irvin, Eaglewood, N.J., and Joe Irvin, Broughton; two half sisters, Mrs. Lawrence Beard, Mt. Vernon, Mrs. Anna Williams, West Frankfort, a half brother, Nagley Williams, West Frankfort; two step-sisters, Mrs. Henry Eldridge, West Frankfort, and Mrs. Ed Douglas of Walpole; 10 grandchildren and three great-grandchildren.

The body will lie in state at the Eldorado funeral home until the service which is Thursday at 2 p.m. at the Hickory Hill Baptist church near Broughton. Burial will be in the adjacent cemetery with Rev. John B. Maulding officiating.
