DURANT, Okla. - Services for Cleo Pigg, 87-year-old Durant resident, will be held at 2 p.m. Thursday at Holmes-Coffey-Murray Chapel in Durant. Mr. Pigg died Monday, July 12, 2010 in Durant.
Darel Bunch will officiate with burial to follow at Highland Cemetery in Durant.
Surviving are his wife, Margaret Pigg; sons, Dale Pigg of Dallas and Ken Pigg of Durant; daughter, Darla Giles of Durant; brother, Junior Pigg of Calera; sisters, Mildred Newkirk and Lois Hodges, both of Lubbock; three grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren.

Cleo Pigg was born Sunday November 19, 1922 in Silo, Oklahoma to Luther and Rena (Butler) Pigg. He passed from this life on Monday, July 12, 2010 in Durant, Oklahoma at the age of 87 years, 7 months and 23 days.

Mr. Pigg was of the Baptist Faith and served in the Army with the Calvary Troop A 124th Division. Cleo enjoyed working in the yard and tinkering with cars. He loved being with his family, children, grandchildren and great grandchildren.

He is survived by his wife, Margaret Pigg of Durant, Oklahoma; sons, Dale Pigg of Dallas, Texas; Ken Pigg of Durant, Oklahoma; daughter, Darla Giles of Durant, Oklahoma; brother, Junior Pigg and wife Judy of Calera, Oklahoma; sisters, Mildred Newkirk of Lubbock, Texas; Lois Hodges of Lubbock, Texas; grandsons, Tommy Mote and wife Kristy of Durant, Oklahoma; Eric Giles of Durant, Oklahoma; granddaughter, Ashley Giles of Durant, Oklahoma; great grandchildren, Montana Whitney of New Mexico; Cameron Mote of Durant, Oklahoma; Mackenzie Mote of Durant, Oklahoma; Brenden Mote of Durant, Oklahoma; Ladisha Turner of Durant, Oklahoma; Landon Turner of Durant, Oklahoma; Aaliyah Harmon of Durant, Oklahoma; as well as many other relatives and friends.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Luther and Rena(Butler) Pigg and 12 brothers and sisters.

Family Hour will be 7-8 P.M. Wednesday, July 14, 2010 at Holmes ~ Coffey ~ Murray Funeral Home.

Services will be held at 2:00 P.M. Thursday, July 15, 2010 at the Holmes ~ Coffey ~ Murray Chapel in Durant, Oklahoma. Bro. Darel Bunch will officiate the service. Interment will follow at Highland Cemetery Durant, Oklahoma. Serving as pallbearers will be Tommy Mote, Eric Giles, Ron Merritt, Kenneth Pigg and Dale Pigg. Serving as an honorary pallbearer will be Mitchell Giles.
