Feb. 21, 1918
Funeral services were conducted at Novelty today with burial at the cemetery nearby for Ira Poor who died at Chanute, Kansas where he had been a janitor of the large school building this winter. The son of Mr. and Mrs. T. M. Poor lived northwest of Novelty where he was born and grew to manhood. He married Miss Meda Loft about 1893 and to them, two children were born, one dying at birth. Son, Tommy survives.
