Wilson, OK — Funeral services for Mr. Darrell Keith "Burly" Farrell, Sr., 59 of Wilson, are scheduled for 10 a.m. Tuesday, July 20, 2010, at the First Baptist Church of Wilson with Rev. Dale Tarp and Rev. Monte Dean officiating. Interment will follow at Hewitt Cemetery in Wilson. Services are under the direction of Alexander Funeral Home of Wilson.



Darrell was born Feb. 12, 1951, in Ardmore, Okla., to the late Mr. J.B. Farrell, III and Mrs. Louise (Applebay) Farrell. He departed this life Friday July 16, 2010, at Healdton.



Darrell was raised in Wilson graduating from Wilson High School in 1969. He and the former Ms. Jean Holloway were united in marriage May 24, 1969, at Rexroat Baptist Church in Wilson. Darrell had many occupations including, being a welder, an OG& E employee, a sprinkler fitter, oilfield service, trailer manufacturer, a restaurant owner and operator, but was most accomplished and recognized as a "Master Tradesman." He loved going on last minute road trips and he and Jean were proud to travel on many treasured vacations together. He loved playing and singing Gospel Music. He always had a passion for cooking, especially good Bar-B-Que, and riding motorcycles more than anything with his buddy Cecil. He treasured the times with his family and grandkids and always looked forward to attending the coffee shop in the mornings. Darrell was very active in Masons, serving several times as the Master of Hewitt Lodge #89, and had also served as Grand Master of District #36 and was currently a member of the Healdton Lodge # 23. He was currently attending worship at the Wilson Assembly of God Church.



Preceding him in death are his parents; nephew, J.B. Farrell, V; niece, Shanda Way; great-niece, Callie Fulton; brothers-in-law, Jim Hawkins, Danny Way; parents-in-law, Robert Holloway, Jr. and Gladys (Wood) Holloway; stepfather, Montie Allred; and best friends, Cecil Guinn and Eddie Bray.



Survivors include his wife, Jean of the home; daughter, Lori Farrell of Rowlett, Texas; sons, Keith Farrell and wife, Melanie of Rowlett, Texas, and Darin Farrell and wife, Sarah of Sulphur; sister, Cindy Bazzrea and husband, Sid of Wilson; brothers, Richard Farrell, Sr. of Santa Maria, Calif., Johnny Farrell and wife, Jean of Fort Collins, Colo.; brothers-in-law and sisters-in-law, Bobby and Sandra Holloway, Sue Hawkins, Bill and Jacqueline Holloway, Joann Way, Ann Farrell- Marutzky and Linda Holloway; stepsister, Mary Robinson; stepbrothers, Mark and Mike Allred; grandchildren, Alexis, Austin, Jacob, Samuel, John, and Jenna; numerous other family and friends.



Pallbearers are Mike Sudderth, J.P. Hockersmith, Gary Idleman, Harold Sanders, Gary Don Sanders, Leon Emerson, Gary Claxton, Merle Emerson, Donnie Guy, Donnie Gaines, and Frank Schaaf.
Honorary Bearers are Jerry Dodd, Dale Ray Gaither, Victor McMahan, Terry Tiner, Conver Nipp, Junior Whatley, Jake Whatley and Jeff Whatley, Riley Beck, George Littlefield, Nephews, Mark, Richard, Billy, Greg, Ian, and Nathan Farrell, Janson Bazzrea, Robert Hawkins, Jimmy Hawkins, Danny Way, Carlen Fulton, Cam Hale, David Durant, Scot Long and Perry Keifer.
