He was a WWII Army Air Corp veteran, who fought in the Pacific Theatre. After the war he graduated from the University of Kentucky and later obtained three patents while working for General Motors as an aeronautical engineer. Henry is survived by his wife of 58 years, Elizabeth; children, Laura Wilson, her husband, Ken; John McLimore, his wife Stacia; and, seven grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his sister Anna Thompson in 2005.
