Trygve Haavig of Stony Brook died of mengitis of the brain on Sunday morning after an illness of twelve days. At the time of his death he was 19 years, 10 months and 5 days old. He was a very bright boy and was well liked by everybody who knew him. He was born and raised in this neighborhood and had many friends. He was a good musician and was a member of the Wednell band. The funeral was held on Tuesday afternoon at 1 o'clok and the remains were laid to rest at the Rock Prairie church cemetery. A number of the Wendell people attended the funderal.
