Eldora Haynor, 80, 215 E. River Terrace, Kiel, died Thursday morning at her home. She had been in ill health for the past several months.
The former Eldora Schubert was born June 7, 1903, at Kiel, the daughter of the late Fred and Emma Harbreckt Schubert. A 1921 graduate of Kiel High School, she married Edwin Hayner on October 26, 1925, in Sheboygan. The couple resided here until 1933, when they moved to Kiel. Mrs. Hayner was a member of St. Peter United Church of Christ, Kiel, and its Women's Guild Society. She also was a member of the GUG Germania Society and American Legion Auxiliary and served as vice president of the Kiel Library Board for the past 36 years. A member of the Kiel election board for 33 years, Mrs. Hayner served for 55 years as a home service representative of the Manitowoc County Red Cross. She also was chairman of the Kiel Blood Bank for several years.
Survivors are her husband, two daughters, Karin Schreiber, Milwaukee, and Mrs. Arne (Sigrid) Borssen, Balgrade, Maine, nine grandchildren and five great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by a grandchild, three brothers and two sisters.
