Cameron Alvin Bales was born on February 2, 1959 in Muskogee to Kenneth and Margaret (Webb) Bales. He was married to Kathy Bales for 22 amazing years and made their home in Keefeton. He died unexpectedly at home Sunday evening (7/11) at the age of 51. Though his earthly struggles are over, his absence will leave a big' hole in the hearts of many. He was a gentle and loving husband, a beloved baby brother, a wonderful son, a great friend, a father figure, and adored by many. He was a member of the Keefeton Volunteer Fire Department and an AE Operator at Kimberly Clark in Jenks. He was an avid hunter and loved to fish and be outdoors. He possessed the latest knowledge of "where they are biting and what bait to use." He enjoyed giving fishing lessons to his nephews. He was an OU fan and liked to argue with his nieces about who was going to win the bedlam game. He loved to be around automobiles and was a pretty good mechanic. He was a crew chief for his brother, Eldon's racing team for over 30 years and designed and built a number of race cars. He was capable of fixing almost anything. He was a man capable of talking to anyone and always finding ways to help others. For a big man, he tread lightly upon this earth and felt blessed by what the earth returned to him. Whether he was at work or in his own house or garage, he was always excited to see if his "fixing things" was going to work by his expression, "okay, let's see if this dog is going to hunt." He loved all of his family very much. He was preceded in death by his parents, Kenneth Alvin Bales and Margaret Webb Bales, his sister, Linda Bales Ellis, his brother, Kenneth Eldon Bales, and his niece Mickayla Lyn Bales. He is survived by his wife Kathy, of the home, sister Dianna Bales King, and husband Delbert of Yukon, nephew, Tim and Lyndzi Bales of Oktaha, niece, Kirsten and Danny Harrison of Muskogee, nephew, Darin and Jessica Bales of McCurtain, nephew, Heath and Kristi King of Moore, Mother and father in-law Fern and Grady Woods of Porum, Brother and Sister in-law Rick and Ronda Jackson of Porum, nieces, Rande Star, Racie Sky, Rayna Sun Jackson, and great niece, Zoe Davie all of Porum. A funeral service celebrating the life of Mr. Bales will be held 2:00 PM, Friday, July 16, 2010 at Keefeton Freewill Baptist with Reverend Danny Barks officiating. Burial will follow at Agnew Cemetery with Hairl Adney, Chris Adney, Paul Greb, Dave Villers, James Shoemake, Doug Lane, Delbert King, Darin Bales serving as pallbearers. Honorary pallbearers will be John Flusche, Rodney Cantrell, Tony Burress, Rick Jackson, Daniel Adney, Heath King, Denver Allen, Rusty Dornan, and Tim Bales. The family has entrusted Bradley Family Funeral Service of Muskogee with the arrangements.
