Maggie "Cindy" Lorene Wilson, age 83, passed away Monday, July 12, 2010 in Odessa.
She was born July 15, 1926 in Newbern, TN to John Nevins McKee and Verna Agnes Tase McKee.
She moved to Texas in 1945. She married Mikuel Louis Wilson on April 15, 1945. She was a member of Second Baptist Church in Odessa and taught Sunday School for many years. She also worked in the church nursery for 19 years. She loved her church activities and spending time with her family and friends.
Survivors include daughter, Jean and husband Leon Crum of Dyersburg, TN; son, James D. Wilson of Odessa; daughter, Vickie and husband Carroll Cox of Odessa; son-in-law, John Buchanan of Odessa; two brothers, Harold "Wimpy" McKee of Newbern, TN and Raymond McKee of Jacksonville, FL; six grandchildren, Sheila Aguilar, James M. Wilson, Clinton Cox, Coby Wilson, Haley Worsham and Kelli Cox Woodruff; and 11 great-grandchildren, Alex, James, Levi, Aumbree, Kayzsa, Amaris, Isaiah, Jeremiah, Chloe, Adrie and Avery.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Mikuel L. Wilson; her son SPC 5 Mickey L. Wilson; her daughter Sandra W. Buchanan; her parents, 2 brothers, and 3 sisters.
Visitation with the family will be 9 a.m. until service time on Saturday, July 17, at Johnson-Williams Funeral Home. Graveside services will follow at 11:30 a.m. at Fairview Cemetery in Newbern with Rev. Ronnie Turner officiating.
