The body of Susan Allen was brought to Emerson for burial from a hospital in Omaha, where she passed away.
She was the mother of Ernest Allen and lived in Emerson Several years ago.
Funeral services were held at the Methodist Church Saturday morning and she was laid to rest in the Emerson Cemetery.

Susannah was born Susannah Johnston 2 Mar 1857 in Athens County Ohio to James Glazier Johnston and Esther Lampson Johnston. She married Samuel Allen 24 Jan 1875 in Harrison County, Iowa. They had nine children from records found.
