KATHLEEN - Barbara Wilkins Forbes Crowe, 71, passed away on Sunday, July 11, 2010, surrounded by her loving family at Heart of Georgia Hospice Inpatient Care after a lengthy battle with Alzheimer's. Funeral Services will be held at 11A.M. on Wednesday, July 14, 2010, with Reverend Jamie Powell officiating. Entombment will be in the Freedom Mausoleum at Perry Memorial Gardens immediately following the service.

Mrs. Crowe was born in Cobb County to the late Edwin and Levia Lingerfelt Wilkins. She graduated from McKitchens School in Marietta, where she was honored as the Valedictorian of her senior class. She worked as a Paralegal for attorney, Joneal Lee, for many years. Later, Mrs. Crowe worked as a realtor with Leaders in Real Estate in Warner Robins for over ten years. She loved to go fishing, and she and her husband moved to Lake Sinclair. They lived at the lake for eleven years, and she was a member of Friendship Baptist Church at Lake Sinclair. The Crowes moved back to Houston County three years ago, where she has been lovingly cared for by her family.

She was preceded in death by her first husband, Donald L. Forbes.

Left to cherish the memories of "Grandma" are her loving husband of thirteen years, Guy Ennis Crowe; her daughter and son-in-law, Jennifer and Joe Barbee, of Bonaire; her grandchildren, Alisha, Maryann, Skylar, Faith, and Elijah Barbee; her step-daughter, Lisa Smith (Bill) of Bibb County; a step-grandson, Nicholas Scott (Amber); and three step-great-grandchildren.
