Minden-Services for Mr. Harvey Steene "Sam" Bell, 67, will be held at 4 p.m. Monday, Aug. 11, in Rose-Neath's Minden Chapel with Dr. Ronald Prince and Rev. Ronnie Laughlin officiating. Burial will be in Whitehall Cemetery.
Mr. Bell, a native of Dry Prong, La., died at 4:40 p.m. Saturday, Aug. 9, 1986, in Minden Medical Center following a lengthy illness. He was a former resident of Bossier and had lived in Minden since 1978. He was a veteran of World War II, truck driver with MOPAC, and a member of the First Baptist Church of Minden.
Survivors include his wife, Sybil G. Bell of Minden; two step-sons, Tommy Bridges of Shreveport and Jack C. Bridges of Orlando, Fla; three daughters, Betty Bell Joslyn, Joy Bell Massie, and Peggy Louise Bell, all of Bossier City; two sisters, Winnie Bell Talor of Panama City, Fla. and Sybil Bell Jeter of Minden; two brothers, Ray Bell of Shreveport and Dale Bell of Magnolia, Ark.; four step-grandchildren and five grandchildren.
Pallbearers will be Larry Blair, Jim Baswell, Joe Murphy, Roger Anderson, Ricky Lee, Vernon Braselton, Ronnie Braselton, and Son Holmes. Honorary pallbearers will be G.L. Frye, Jack Holoman, P.C. Penix, and members of the Fellowship Sunday School Class.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests memorial contributions be made to St. Jude's Hospital.
