Mrs. Jennie I. Smith, of 527 Main St., Bellwood, died at her home at 1:45 p.m. Thursday, after a brief illness. She was born July 7, 1878, at Concord, Franklin county, Pa., the daughter of Robert and Margaret Taylor Finley.

She was twice married first to David P. Peck who died in 1929. Five children survive from this marriage; Earnest P. Peck, of Altoona; Glenn W. Peck, of Farrell, Pa; daughters, Mrs. Marie Heaton at whose home she died; Mrs. Evalyn M. Amato of Altoona and Mrs. Mildred C. Young of Altoona. Nineteen grandchildren, seven great-grandchildren.

Her second marriage was to David E. Smith of Colver, Pa, who survives along with five step children; J.H. Smith and Robert Smith both of Colver; Paul Smith of Nanty-Glo; Mrs. Margaret Lytle of Johnstown; and Miss Elizabeth Smith of Washington, D.C.

One sister, Mrs. Cleo Sloop of Pittsburgh survives.

She was a member of the Methodist church.

Friends will be received at Mauk and Yates funeral home in Juniata after 6 p.m. Friday.
