Mrs. Marie Heaton of Bellwood, a sister of Mr. Peck, said her brother had visited at her home Friday evening and that another sister, Mrs. Evelyn Amato, had driven him to Altoona, dropping him off at Seventh avenue and Fourth street at 11:50 p.m. Friday, better than two and one half hours before the tragedy.

Mr. Peck, a pipefitter in the Altoona works for 35 years, was born June 23, 1897, in Concord, Franklin county, the son of David P. and Jennie (Finley) Peck.

He leaves his wife, Mrs. Ruth (Perry) Peck of Greenwood; a daughter, Mrs. Gladys Bragg of Indianapolis, Ind.; four grandchildren, three sisters, Mrs. Heaton, Mrs. Amato and Mrs. Mildred Young of Altoona, and a brother, Glenn W. Peck of Farrell. Preceding him in death was a son S/Sgt. Herman Peck, who was killed in Holland during the Battle of the Bulge in World War II.

Mr. Peck was a member of the Greenwood E.U.B. church and of the Moose and Eagles lodges.

Friends will be received at the Mauk and Yates Funeral home.
