Wife of Myron Clauser Dies This Morning
Funeral Here Friday for Local Woman, 61
Mrs. Mary Clauser, 61, wife of Myron J. Clauser of 725 Indiana Avenue, Berne, died at 4:21 am today in Swiss Village where she had been a patient in the nursing care unit since August 31. Mrs. Clauser had been ill three and one-half years and bedfast for the last six months.
Death was attributed to cancer.
Mrs. Clauser was a resident of this city for 36 years and was widely known. She was employed at The Habit for 15 years before ill health forced her to retire.
She was born in Jay County, August 31, 1908, a daughter of Walter and Minnie Nagel Darby. She was married to Myron J. Clauser on October 7, 1933.
Surviving are the husband; two daughters, Mrs. Roger A. (Jane) Eichenauer, Fort Wayne and Mrs. Tony J. (Virginia) Yoder, Berne; four grandchildren; two brothers, Charles W. Darby, Portland and Robert Darby, who resides in Arizona; three sisters, Mrs. Charles (Ruth) Beeler, Portland; Mrs. Rex (Jane) McManus, Portland and Mrs. Howard (Mildred) Dennis, Hicksville, Ohio. A brother and a sister preceded in death.
Mrs. Clauser was a member of the Trinity United Methodist Church where services will be held at 2 pm Friday. Rev. LaVerne Howard will officiate and burial will be in the MRE Cemetery.
Friends may call at the Yager Funeral Home after 2 pm Thursday.
