Mahoning Dispatch, Fri, 22 Mar 1929
"Concord - March 20 – David M. Bare, 78, one of the best known and most highly regarded men in this neighborhood, was found dead in his barn Monday afternoon, death having resulted from heart trouble. Some months since he suffered a severe illness from which he did not fully recover but was able to look after his farm, on which he resided 35 years. He was born in Westmorland county, Pa., but came to Mahoning county when a young man. His twin sister, Mrs. C. C. Bowman, the last of his immediate family, died in Canfield a few weeks ago. His wife preceded him in death four years. He was a quiet unassuming man, one who retained friendships. His nearest surviving relatives are two nieces, Mrs. J. S. Harding, Ellsworth, and Mrs. Chas. Arnott, McDonald. He was a member of the Concord Presbyterian church, where largely attended funeral services conducted by Rev. George E. Brown, his pastor, were held at 2:00 o'clock Wednesday afternoon. The remains were laid to rest in the Ellsworth cemetery mausoleum."
