PHILIP WILHELM died at his residence near Nachusa on the 7th inst. in the 74th year of his age. The deceased emigrated from Allegany Co., MD to Lee Co IL in the fall of 1851, and by industry and undoubted integrity, has accumulated a nice property and gained the respect and confidence of all who knew him. He was an honored member of the Evangelical Lutheran church formore than 50 years, and was always ready by hismeans and influence to aid in furthering the cause of Christ. His death will be deeply felt by his surviving and strickent family, adn the community in which he resided. He was buried on the 9th inst. in the cemetery at the Burket school house, in the presence of a very large assembly of friends and acquaintances, according to the usages of the church to which be belonged - Wm. Uhl.
