  Nancy A. Brinkman, 68, of Pierre, S.D., died at home on December 5, 2003.

Services will be held at 10 a.m. Tuesday, December 9, 2003, at Ss. Peter and Paul Catholic Church in Pierre. Isburg-Hofmeister Funeral Chapel of Pierre is in charge of arrangements, and the Pierre Flower Shop is coordinating flowers.

Nancy Brinkman was born on May 25, 1935, in Eau Claire to James C. Ganther Sr. and Catherine Hannafin Ganther. Nancy graduated from Regis High School in 1953. She married James E. Brinkman of Eau Claire in 1953, and remained married until his death in 2002.

Nancy worked for the State of South Dakota for many years in personnel, Department of Labor and Education. Additionally, she worked for the Department of Energy and County of Louden while living in the Washington D.C. area. Most recently, she worked for CASA program in Pierre. Away from work, Nancy had a multitude of interests including traveling, crafts, golf, grandchildren and frequent shopping.

She was preceded in death by her husband on December 17, 2002.

Nancy is survived by her loving family including her daughter, Lisa Blake and her three sons, Matthew, Ryan, Steven and their father Gene Blake, all of Pierre, S.D.; a son, Steven of Cabot, Ark., his wife, Karla and their three children, Halie, Andrew and Erin; brother, James C. Ganther Jr. and his wife, Gloria of Eau Claire; brother, Robert Ganther and his wife, Mary Lou of Eau Claire; sister, Suzanne Frye and her husband, Ron of Eau Claire; brother, Mark Ganther and his wife, Brenda of Racine.

Memorials may be directed to Ss. Peter and Paul Altar Society or St. Mary’s Hospice Unit of Pierre, S.D.
