Mineral Wells, Texas - Funeral for JESSE RAY CROOK, 77, of Mineral Wells, Texas, will be at 2 p.m. Sunday at South Side Church of Christ, with William Eudy, minister, and Scott Sheppard, minister, officiating.

Mr. Crook died Wednesday, Nov. 14, 2007, at his home.
Burial will be at Sturdivant Cemetery under direction of Baum-Carlock-Bumgardner Funeral Home, Mineral Wells.

He was born July 13, 1930, in Chattanooga, Okla., to Clint Warren and Clara Jane Armstrong Crook. He was a minister with the Church of Christ, serving since 1954 with churches in Iredell, Shamrock, McGregor, Graham and Madras, Ore. He was minister of South Side Church of Christ from July 1970 until 1995, when he retired the first time. He then ministered in the Churches of Christ in Graford, then Santo until 2007.

Survivors include his wife, Reta Crook of the home; three sons and two daughters-in-law, Stephen Crook, Mineral Wells, Jay and Rebecca Crook, Corpus Christi, Texas, and Russell and Jill Crook, Cleburne, Texas; grandchildren, Ryan Roden and his wife Alyssa, Lewisville, Texas, Lyndi Roden, Abilene, Texas, and Sierra, Cheyenne and Gray Crook, all of Corpus Christi; a sister, Lorene Parton, Oklahoma City; a brother and sister-in-law, Lavon and Lorena Crook, Lawton; and several nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by a sister, Lois Hoyt. the family suggests memorials be made to the Foster Children's Home in Stephenville of the Southside Church of Christ Building Fund.
