Albert Leon "Ab" Alberty, son of Andrew Jackson and Dorothy (Thomas) Alberty was born August 20, 1944 in Stilwell, Oklahoma and departed this life on November 1, 2010 in Vian, Oklahoma at the age of 66 years, 2 months and 12 days.
He served his country proudly in the United States Army during Vietnam. He enjoyed deer hunting, fishing, and spending time with his family and friends. He was a member of the VFW.
Ab was preceded in death by his parents; A.J. and Dorothy Alberty, a wife; Shirley Alberty, 1 brother; Joseph Alberty, 1 nephew; Tim Alberty and 1 niece; Tina Alberty.
He is survived by a very loving family that includes his wife; Joyce Alberty of the home in Vian, Ok, 2 sons; Jack Alberty and Destiny of Bunch, Ok, John Alberty and Angie of Ft. Gibson, Ok, 2 Grandsons; Tanner Alberty of Ft. Gibson, Ok, and James of Bunch, Ok. 1 brother; Marvin "Luger" Alberty and wife Marilynn of Westville, Ok, 1 sister; Linda Alberty Weavel of Henryetta, Ok, several nieces, nephews, other relatives and many friends also survive him.
Graveside services were held, Friday, November 5, 2010 at 10:00 a.m. with Bro. Don Waldrop officiating. Inurnment followed at Chalk Bluff Cemetery under the direction of Roberts/Reed-Culver Funeral Home
