Deceased Name: DEATH: JANIEL CHRISTENSEN Janiel Allen Christensen, our beloved wife, mother, and grandmother, passed away Sunday, April 7, 1996, of a heart condition. She will be remembered as loving and caring to all those who knew her.
She was born October 28, 1934 in Tremonton, Utah, to Robert Roland and Amy Ruth Andersen Allen.
Married Sheldon Lynn Christensen, March 7, 1958 in the Logan LDS Temple.
Graduted from Bear River School and continued on to beauty school. She styled hair for many years and cared for children. Active member of the LDS Church and served in many callings such as Stake Primary President, handicap Primary leader, Blazer Scout leader and compassionate service leader. She also spent many years doing the Pennies by the Inch drive for the Primary Children's Hospital.
Survived by her husband, Sheldon Lynn Christensen; daughter, Cindy (Rodney) Timmerman; son, Blair Lynn Christensen; and friend, Tod Orrell; four grandchildren; brothers, Theodore (Dixie) Allen, Darwin (LaRee) Allen, Clair (Judy) Allen; sisters, Carol (Ray) Sorensen, Velva (Norman) Rose and Clyda (Richard) Lindsay; sister-in-law, Joan Allen. Preceded in death by parents, brothers, Dallas Allen and Richard Allen.
Funeral services will be held Thursday, April 11, 10 a.m. at the West Valley 4th Ward, 3963 So. Peachwood Dr. (3450 West). Friends may call Wednesday, April 10, from 5-8 p.m. at McDougal Funeral Home, 4330 South Redwood Road and Thursday at the church, one hour prior to services. Interment, Hyrum Cemetery.
