Everett C. Chesley, 87, of Stapleton, Nebraska died Feburary 10, 2002 at the Good Samaritan Center in Callaway, Nebraska. He was born at Callaway, Everett Clarence Chesley March 25, 1914 to Clarence & Maggie (Whipple) Chesley.
On April 29, 1939 he married to Alice Hodges in North Platte, Nebraska. He was a barber in the Stapleton and the Ford area and received a 50 years certificate from the Nebraska State Barber Board. He enjoyed gardening greatly, woodworking, fixing small engines.
He is survived by his wife at Stapleton; a daughter Patricia Harvey also of Stapleton; 4 grandchildren, Mrs. Ted (Kimberly) Godfrey, Mr. Patrick (Stacey) Barbee all of Holtville, California, Mr. Travis (Jodie) Harvey of Hot Springs, Arkansas & Blaine Harvey of Lincoln, Nebraska; 4 great grandchildren, Lyndzie, Shayne, Kelsee, Kaelyn; 1 sister Madeline Hartman of McCook, Nebraska, a brother Ira & wife Lorraine Chesley of North Platte, Nebraska many nieces & nephews and friends.
He was preceded in death by (his parents) a daughter, Sharon Barbee, a sister Vera Johnson, and three brothers; Albert, Willis & Darrel Chesley.
In lieu of flowers, memorials are suggested to the Presbyterian Church in Stapleton.
The body was cremated.
Memorial services will be at 11:30a.m. Friday Feb.15, 2002.
