7. Nora Delphia Gary: b Feb 16, 1892 Sabine Co, TX - d Mar 23, 1968 Shreveport, Caddo Parish, LA. An explanation that Nora became deaf as a young girl was that she fell off a wagon and damaged her hearing. The second explanation was that she contracted malaria and was given too much quinine. She learned sign language. In those days she was not allowed to attend school, and was taught only at home by her mother. She was said to have done lovely lace work called "tatting", and was known to be very bright. Burial Memory Park Cemetery, Longview, Harrison Co, TX. Likely resided with her sister Alice Artiemisse "Artie" (Gary) & Alice's husband Rufus Lee Hybarger.

Asrel and wife Alice stated they were both 39 years of age and were married for 20 years, had 10 children 9 living children. Asrel Gary was a farmer.
