RESIDENT OF AREA DIES AFTER ILLNESS

Eddie Friedrich Abraham, 79, of 7422 Oregon St., Road in the Town of Black Wolf, died at 11:50 p.m. Thursday at his home after an illness of several years.

He was born Nov. 1, 1890, in the Town of Black Wolf. He married Leonora Luebke on Dec. 15, 1920 at St. John’s Lutheran Church in the Town of Nekimi.

Mr. Abraham was a farmer until his retirement. He served as sexton at St. John’s Lutheran Cemetery in the Town of Nekimi for 50 years and was custodian of the church for 36 years.

He also served as trustee of the church. He was a World War I veteran having served in the U.S. Army.

Survivors include his widow; four daughters, Mrs. Norman Kopitz, Mrs. Jarrett Roberts, Mrs. Hilbert Albrecht and Mrs. Robert Zentner, all of the Town of Black Wolf; seven grandchildren; one great-grandchild; and two sisters, Mrs. Walter Nimmer of Fond du Lac and Mrs. Edward Nimmer of North Fond du Lac.

Funeral services will be held at 1:30 p.m. Monday at St. John’s Lutheran Church in the Town of Nekimi with Pastor Raymond Poff officiating. Burial will be in the church cemetery.

Friends may call from 4:30 to 9 p.m. Sunday at Konrad Funeral Home, Oshkosh, and at the church from 1p.m. Monday until the time of services.
