AREA FARMER MANY YEARS IS DEAD AT 78
ALFRED H. ABRAHAM SERVICES SCHEDULED AT LUTHERAN CHURCH
Alfred Henry Abraham Sr., 78, of 1104 Pearl Lane, a resident of Maple Manor Nursing Home since November, died there at 2:45 a.m. today.
Born Oct. 18, 1888, in the Town of Nekimi, the son of Albert and Wilhelmina Laude Abraham, he married Esther E. Madaus on Nov. 11, 1914, at St. John’s Lutheran Church in the Town of Nekimi.
He farmed in the Town of Black Wolf and then he moved to Fond du Lac where he served as custodian of St. Peter’s Lutheran Church until his retirement.
Survivors include six sons, Lawrence and Clarence, both of Van Dyne, R. 1, Marvin, Orville and Alfred Jr., all of Fond du Lac, and Norbert of Bosford, Mass.; four daughters, Mrs. Lester Rickert of Oshkosh, Mrs. Bruno Redman of the city, Mrs. Forest Wolf of Independence, Mo., and Mrs. Louis Draves of Route 2; one brother, Edward of Town of Black Wolf; four sisters, Mrs. Henry Abraham of Van Dyne, Mrs. Clara Abraham of Oshkosh and Mrs. Edward Nimmer and Mrs. Walter Nimmer, both of Fond du Lac; 27 grandchildren; and seven great –grandchildren.
Funeral services will be at 2 p.m. Monday at St. Peter’s Lutheran Church, Rev. Karl Gurgel officiating. Burial will be in Ledgeview Memorial Park Cemetery.
Friends may call at Bidlingmaier Funeral Home from 3 p.m. Sunday until 10:30 a.m. Monday when the body will be moved to the church to lie in state until the time of services.
