Wanda "Christine" Calvert Phelps, 79, the former Wanda Johnson, went to be home with the Lord on Tuesday, April 6, 2010 at Audubon Hospital. Born on August 25, 1930.
She was a member of Valley View Baptist Church and was a homemaker.
Wanda is preceded in death by her husband, Joseph Calvert; son, Joseph "Sonny" Calvert Jr.; and grandson, Joseph Robert Spears.
Survivors include children, Wanda Poynter (Steve), Janice Day (Don), Cheryl Calhoun, Carl Calvert Sr. (Janie), and Lisa Wilson (Shane); 11 grandchildren; seven great-grandchildren; six great-great grandchildren; and caregiver, Glenn Triplett.
Funeral service will be 10 a.m. Saturday with burial in Resthaven Cemetery. Visitation will be Friday from 2-4 and 6-8 p.m. at the funeral home.
