Michael was about 15 when he came to America with the Andreas Colenbaugh family. He married their daughter, Elizabeth, in Coschocton County, Ohio on September 10, 1840. They moved with Elizabeth's family to Jefferson Township, Owen County, Indiana where they resided until their deaths. Michael & Elizabeth also had a son by the name of Andrew J. Sheer. He was born about 1843 in Coshocton, Ohio. He enlisted in the army during the Civil War. He died of a disease during the war on December 8, 1863 in Chattanooga, Tennessee. After years of searching, I finally found that Andrew is buried in the Chattanooga National Cemetery in Chattanooga, Tennesse.
