Opal E. Sanders, 92, of Harrison, died Friday, Jan 23 (2004) at North Arkansas Regional Medical Center in Harrison.

She was born Nov. 16, 1911 at Bass, the daughter of the late Mathew and Elizabeth McCutcheon Tennison.

She was a member of the Northside Church of Christ in Harrison and the Eastern Star.Funeral was 1 p.m. Monday, Jan 26 at Christeson Funderal Home in Harrison with Greely Kirkpatrick officiating. Burial was in Maplewood Cemetery.

Survivors include her husband, Denver "Short" Sanders of Harrison; a stepdaughter, Audry Adamson of Harrison; two grandchildren; two great grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.Pallbearers were Web Newton III, Mark Newton, Gil Sanders, Scott Tennyson, Paul Adamson and Jimmy Russell. Honorary pallbearers were Ika Sanders and Will Hurst.
