Mildred T. Conrad, 83, of Route 1, Conrad Road, Scottville, died early Sunday at Oakview Medical Care Facility. Mildred Cameron was born Nov. 5, 1897 in Free Soil, the daughter of the late Angus and Marjorie (Campbell) Cameron. She was a lifetime resident of Mason County and was married April 17, 1918 in Ludington to Archie R. Conrad. The couple farmed for 50 years in Amber Township and he preceded her in death on Feb. 21, 1977. Mrs. Conrad was a past member of the Amber Gleaners, the Amber Grange and the Amber Missionary Society. She was also a member of the Mason County Farm Bureau. Surviving are two daughters, Mrs. Russell (Betty) Gallie of Muskegon and Mrs. Donald (Mary Lou) Schulz of Bradenton, FL; one son, Robert A. Conrad of Amber Township, Scottville, two brothers, Cardinal Cameron of Ludington and Robert Cameron of Muskegon; one sister, Mrs. Claribel Bucholtz of Ludington; 10 grand children and 13 great grandchildren. She was also preceded in death by a grandson, a great granddaughter, two brothers and three sisters. The funeral for Mrs. Conrad will be held at 11 a.m. Wednesday at teh Stephen's Funeral Chapel, Scottville, with the Rev. William McKnight officiating. Interment will be in Rickey Cemetery. The family will receive friends at the funeral chapel from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Tuesday. Those planning an expression of sympathy are asked to consider memorials to a charity of their choice.
