Jack Richard Fergison, 73, Troy, Kansas, passed away at his home Sunday, September 7, 2008.
Mr. Fergison was born March 10, 1935 , to Cecil and Bertie Jane Fergison at Oregon, Missouri. He was an over-the-road truck driver, working as an owner-operator; and for Mid-American Trucking for many years.
Jack enjoyed hunting, fishing, Nascar and racing stock cars when he was young.
He was preceded in death by his father, Cecil Fergison: his second wife, JoAnn Fergison: brothers, O'Neil and Dean Fergison: and a sister: Darlene Malarkey.
Survivors are his mother, Bertie Jane Fergison, St. Joseph: former wife, Martha M. Meng of the home: daughter, Debra Canova, and husband, Bruce of Kansas City, Mo: sons, Richard E. Fergison, and wife, Sharon of Barrington, Ks: and Andy Fergison, and companion, Brenda Martin of Weston, Mo.: grandchildren, Kate, Michelle, Jason, Jenny, Jackie and Jill: several great-grandchildren: and a brother, Don Fergison of Savannah, Mo.
The funeral service will be conducted at 11 a.m. Wednesday, with the family receiving friends from 9 to 11 a.m. Wednesday, at Rupp Funeral Home, St. Joseph. Jack will be cremated following the funeral service.
