Services for Ida Madeline Fewell, 90, of Crosbyton, formerly of Glen Rose, were held at 11 a.m. Friday, Oct. 12, 2001, at Crosbyton First United Methodist Church with Pastor Bob Kelley officiating.
Burial was in Crosbyton Cemetery under the direction of Adams Funeral Home of Crosbyton.
She died Monday, Oct. 8, 2001, at Trinity Care Center in Bridgeport.
She was born Sept. 19, 1911, in Scurry County, TX.
She married Arlie Dean Fewell on Dec. 17, 1930, in Clovis, N.M. He died April 6, 1987.
She was an active member of the Crosbyton First United Methodist Church where she was a lifetime member of the United Methodist Women. She was a member of the Crosbyton Order of the Eastern Star. She worked as the Crosbyton librarian for many years.
Survivors include two daughters, Gwen Reed and husband, Buster,of Bowie, TX, and Ophelia NcNeill and husband, George, of Glen Rose; a brother, M.A. Adams and wife, Lillian, of Lubbock; six grandchildren; eleven great-grandchildren; and nine great-great-grandchildren.
The family suggests memorials to the Crosbyton First United Methodist Church and the Crosby County Library.
