~ MY G.G.G. GREAT AUNTS AND UNCLES ~

On Saturday evening of July 21, 1838. Two of the Wilkerson's children came to spend the night. On Sunday morning July 22, 1838, Billy Bowlegs leader of the Seminole Indians led in "THE LAST MASSACRE OF GEORIGA". Killing eight members of the Wildes family and one members of the Wilkerson family. Only four of their son, Rueben, Jesse, James and John Wildes and their cousin, Alice Wilkerson's manage to excape the massacre. Unfortunately, there are no names for these five. I am the fifth descendant down from the oldest son Reuben Wildes. You can read more about the massacre on the other family memorials.

There are three Books Published on the WILDES/WILDS family. Book one (1964), Book two (1984) Book three (2004) and Book four which is still in the makings. I Myself, are in books two, three and will be in book four.
