Surviving were wife and 10 children, namely Mrs. Lydia Brocker, Detroit, Mich.; Truman Beals, Forsythe, Montana; Edith Blakemore, Mattoon; Bryan and Maurice Beals, Mrs. John Grotjan and Mrs. Henry Buckley of Decatur; Burl, Lloyd and Clifford at home. He also leaves 15 grandchildren and 2 great grandchildren, also 2 brothers, A. M. Beals and R. E. Beals, and 1 sister, Mrs. Ellen Daniels.
He was united with the Christian faith under the ministry of Rev. J. E. Story.
Funeral services were conducted at the Christian Church with Rev. E. U. Smith officiating with burial in the Mound Cemetery.
