Ruth G. Glidewell, 83, Neosho, died June 30, 2010, in her home, in Neosho, following an illness.
Mrs. Glidewell was born Feb. 26, 1927, in Spokane, Mo., the daughter of Ralph and Clara (Coates) Gideon. She moved to Neosho in 1958 from St. Louis, Mo., and was a homemaker, enjoyed playing golf and attended Bethany Baptist Church.
Ruth married Everett Glidewell, who preceded her in death on June 15, 1995. She is survived by a daughter, Michelle Patterson and husband Stan, Florence, Ky.; two grandsons, Luke Patterson and wife Lindsey, Burlington, Ky., and Andy Patterson and wife Casey, Florence, Ky.; two great grandchildren, Harris and Maddy; and two sisters, Louise Davis and Joella Gideon, both of Forsyth, Mo. In addition to her husband and parents, she is preceded in death by three brothers, Ray Gideon, Max Gideon and Gene Gideon and a sister, Chlorus Gideon.
Graveside services will be Friday, July 2, 2010 at 1 p.m., in East Lawn Cemetery, in Springfield, Dr. Jerry Seigel will officiate. Friends may call at the Clark Funeral Home, Neosho, Thursday from 9 a.m., until 5 p.m.
