Henry Avalos, originally of Seguin, Texas passed away Thursday, January 14, 2010 at the age of 78 in Mountain City, Tennessee. Henry Avalos served in the United States Air Force for twenty years and then continued as a civil service employee for the next twelve years. He then retired to Mountain City, Tennessee where he spent the remaining years of his life.

Henry is survived by his sister, Rosa Avalos; his brothers and their wives, Trinidad and Rebecca Avalos, Gilbert and Dolores Avalos and Fernando and Susan Avalos; 24 nieces and nephews and 46 great nieces and nephews.

He is preceded in death by his parents, Casimiro and Dolores Avalos; his sisters, Helen Rios, Maria Socorro Avalos and San Juana Landin; and his brother, Roman Avalos.

Palmer Mortuary will hold a Visitation on Wednesday, January 20, 2010 from
4:00 PM – 9:00 PM with a Rosary to be recited at 7:00 PM. A Funeral Mass will be held Thursday, January 21, 2010 at 2:30 PM at Our Lady of Guadalupe Catholic Church. Interment will follow in San Geronimo Cemetery in Seguin. Arrangements under the direction of Palmer Mortuary.
