DAVID WHITE

It becomes our painful duty this week to announce the death of another of Lucas county's most respected citizens. Mr. David F. White, died Wednesday morning the 13th, at 5 o'clock.

His disease was a peculiar one, and one in which it was difficult to arrive at a correct diagnosis. The trouble seemed to be with the liver, but just what the nature of the difficulty was, nothing short of an autopsy could determine.

Mr. White has been ailing for a long time and at first it was not thought that the disease would terminate fatally. But he gradually grew worse, and for the past thirty days it has been apparent that the hand of death was at work upon him.

A few weeks ago he concluded to make a trip to the north, in hopes that a change of climate would benefit him, but by the time he was ready to go, his case seemed hopeless, and the trip was abandoned.

Mr. White was a highly esteemed member of Chariton Lodge No. 61 I.O.O.F., and his funeral will take place tomorrow from the residence, at 9 o'clock. He will be buried under the direction of his lodge in the Chariton cemetery.
