NICHOLS, Richard M., 72, of Follansbee, died Friday, December 3, 1999, in St Francis Hospital, Pittsburgh. He was a retired supervisor with Follansbee Steel Company, a member of the Friendship Gospel Tabernacle, East Liverpool, and an Army veteran of World War II. He was preceded in death by his parents, George A. and Anna E. Spriggs Nichols; three brothers; two sisters.

Surviving are his wife, Eleanor E. Skinner Nichols; a daughter, Linda Mae DeFede and her husband, Bernard of Follansbee; a brother, Gilbert Nichols of Knoxville, Ohio; two sisters, Helen Ronshausen and her husband, Elbert of Greenford, Ohio, Janet Iltis and her husband, Richard of Empire, Ohio; a grandson, Brian Michael DeFede of Harmony, Pa.

Arrangements by Clarke Funeral Home, Toronto, Ohio. Interment in Sugar Grove Cemetery, Empire, with full military graveside services by Toronto American Legion.
