Washougal - James M. Turlington, who operated Jim's Laundry Hut in Washougal for 20 years, died in Vancouver Friday. He was 77.
Mr. Trulington was born March 13, 1907, in Fisher County, Texas, and lived at 441 K St., Washougal, for 57 years.
He served in the U.S. Marine Corps form 1922 to 1925. he retired from foreman in the converting plant. He owned and operated the Laundry Hut from 1959 to 1979.
Mr. Turlington was a member of the Golden Crown Club.
Survivors include a daughter, Carol Martin of Washougal; two sisters, Laverta Jones of Amarillo, Texas, and Laverna Ruff of Lubbock, Texas; and two grandsons.
The service will be at 2 p.m. Tuesday at Straub's Funeral Home in Camas. The Rev. Leo Guffnet will officiate. Burial will be in Washougal Cemetery.
