Arr. in USA about 1868 at about 1 year of age. Lived first in Chicago where he became a tailor. Moved to Portland, Oregon with family in 1902. 4 children born all born in Chicago area. Daughter Virginia married into the Oregon Pioneer family, Foster, many of whom are also buried in Historic Columbian Cemetery.
Children also include twins Lilian and Olive born 30 May 1890 and Ethel Hajek, all in Chicago.
