The service for Ray E. Barrow, 76, of Medford, will be at 10 a.m. Friday at Perl Funeral Home, with Pastor Tom Sanford officiating. A private interment will be held at Siskiyou Memorial Park.

Memorial contributions may be made to Shady Point SDA Church Building Fund, 14611 Highway 62, Eagle Point, 97524, or the Rogue Ambulance, 145 W. Main St., Eagle Point, 97524.

Mr. Barrow died Thursday (Nov. 15, 1990) in Mesa, Ariz.

He was born Aug. 13, 1914, in Indian Territory, Okla.

On June 11, 1942, in Burbank, Calif. he married the former Helen E. Frey, who survives.

The couple moved to Eagle Point in 1945 where he worked for Trumix and later for Hughes and Dodd. He owned and operated Barrow Earth Moving Inc. for 14 years before retiring. The couple wintered in Arizona each year for the past 13 years.

He served in the Army Air Corps for four years, stationed in Okinawa where he built landing strips for the invasion of Japan.

He was a past member of the Elks and Lions clubs.

He attended the Shady Point Seventh Day Adventist Church and was a member of the Eagle Point City Council, serving on the planning commission.

His hobbies included RV travel, fishing and snowmobiling.

Survivors, in addition to his wife, included two sisters, Jean Isley and Ruth Colangelo, both of Amarillo, Texas; a brother, Donnie J. Barrow, Amarillo, Texas.
