Funeral services for John Alexander Michau, farmer, of near Georgetown, will be held at Gourdine's chapel, near Andrews, Saturday afternoon, September 4, 1943, at 4 o'clock, by the Rev. J. J. Patrick, pastor. Burial, directed by Mayer, will follow in the churchyard.

Mr. Michau died at his home near here Thursday night, September 2, 1943, at 10 o'clock, after an illness of about two weeks. He had moved here the past spring from the Suttons section of Williamsburg County.

Surviving are his widow, the former Sarah V. Johnson, and the following children: R. Lee Michau, of Georgetown; Mrs. Idel Snipes, of Chester; Estelle Michau, Mrs. Lena Mae Lambert, Lily, Willie, Jessie, Herman, Therman, Herbert, and James Michau, all of Georgetown.

Also surviving are two brothers, Jonah and Oliver Michau, both of Darlington, and six sisters: Miss Sudie Michau, Miss Margie Michau, Mrs. Marie Thomas, Mrs. Etta Davis, Mrs. Annie Johnson, and Mrs. Minnie Johnson, all of Darlington.
